Meta Pokemon

The term "meta Pokemon" refers to Pokemon that are commonly used and considered to be strong in the current competitive metagame. The metagame is constantly evolving as new Pokemon are introduced, moves and abilities are changed, and new strategies are developed. Here are some examples of current meta Pokemon in the popular competitive format of VGC:

Incineroar
Incineroar is a Fire/Dark type Pokemon that has been a staple in VGC for several years. It has a great combination of offensive and defensive capabilities, with access to moves like Fake Out, Flare Blitz, and Intimidate.

Landorus-Therian
Landorus-Therian is a Ground/Flying type Pokemon that has been a top-tier choice in VGC for several years. It has great offensive stats and access to powerful moves like Earthquake, U-turn, and Fly.

Rillaboom
Rillaboom is a Grass type Pokemon that was introduced in the eighth generation. It has a great ability in Grassy Surge, which sets up Grassy Terrain and boosts the power of Grass type moves. Rillaboom is also a great physical attacker with moves like Grassy Glide, Wood Hammer, and Knock Off.

Urshifu
